The Crying of Potential Estate is de start van the event-based Cabinet Wally Hope running from January 24th to March 8th : productie and démonstrations during the time we, POTENTIAL ESTATE, are op deze plek : a one month commercial break pour nous om te experimenteren.

Occupations & manœuvres, gesprekken et concerts (and all the stuff we cannot imagine a name voor : hidden sculptures, musical debates, monkey zaken, plattelandscapes, hot-rod architectuur, postmortem movies, missing archief and paintings, customised peniciline, badass bizness et compétitions de frontières, zombie geografie, etc), c’est comme ça qu’on envisage cette nouvelle affectation.

IF IT’S TUESDAY, IT STILL MUST BE BELGIUM (1987)

It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium was reworked in 1987 as a made-for-TV movie, titled If It’s Tuesday, It Still Must be Belgium.

This is the third presentatie of the almost two year onderzoek by well known international kunstenaars comme David Evrard, Ronny Heiremans, Pierre Huyghebaert, Adam Leech, Vincent Meessen and Katleen Vermeir.

The Crying of Potential Estate is the deel of ce project in which we ontwikkelen the financial aspect of it : «comment on va faire pour aller à Belgium, Wisconsin, monter ce résidential, et qu’est-ce qu’on va faire à Belgium Wisconsin, dans ce residential ?»

Indiani Metropolitani

Nous pouvons tous entrer dans un devenir-noir, dans un devenir-indien, ce qui fut d’ailleurs justement l’intuition humoristique et géniale des Indiens Métropolitains à Rome. (...) Indiani metropolitani est le nom adopté par des groupes d’étudiants et de jeunes travailleurs précaires du Mouvement de 1977 en Italie, point culminant du mouvement de l’Autonomia. Le nom se réfère au fait que ces groupes s’autodéfinissaient comme les habitants d’une sorte de "réserve culturelle" par rapport à l’ordre établi (du travail). Les Indiani metropolitani ont surtout existé à Rome où ils organisèrent des performances au printemps de 1977, et à Bologne, où se forma le groupe analogue Cellule mao-dadaïste. On pourrait dire que ces groupes étaient sous influence situationniste avec une matrice ouvriériste.
